Prof. Ivan是宾夕法尼亚大学化学系终身正教授,兼本科学术教育主席(Undergraduate Chair),并同时担任本科生、研究生及博士生导师。在校讲授环境化学、生物无机化学、生物物理化学等课程,并曾获得多项教学指导奖。Prof. Ivan is a tenured full Professor of Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Undergraduate Chair in Undergraduate Education. He serves as an undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral advisor. He teaches environmental chemistry, biological inorganic chemistry, biophysical chemistry and other courses, and has won a number of teaching awards.

In ten years, he has received more than 40 research grants of more than $3 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institute of Basic Medical Sciences (NIGMS), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) and other major institutions.

绿色化学技术处于当前国际化学的前沿领域。绿色化学又称环境无害化学,在其基础上创新的技术称绿色化学技术、环境友好技术或洁净技术,它是一门从源头上阻止环境污染的新兴科学,其研究工作主要是围绕化学反应、原料、催化剂、溶剂和产品的绿色化学展开的。绿色化学技术中最理想的是采用“原子经济”反应,实现反应的绿色化,即原料分子中的每一原子都转化成产品,不产生任何废物和副产物,实现废物的“零排放”。
项目介绍
本项目主要关于环境化学——我们将通过化学的这面镜子,了解地球面临的重要环境问题。环境科学是一个综合交叉学科,本项目中学生将接触到臭氧、空气污染、酸雨、全球变暖、温室效应、水体污染等诸多环境污染场景,利用化学技术和手段去缓解或解决这些污染,并从中得到未来环保发展的启示。学生在项目结束时提交项目报告,进行成果展示。This project is about environmental chemistry - we will look through the mirror of chemistry to understand the important environmental problems facing the Earth. Environmental science is a comprehensive interdisciplinary discipline. Students in this program will be exposed to ozone, air pollution, acid rain, global warming, greenhouse effect, water pollution, and other environmental pollution scenes, and use chemical technology and means to mitigate or solve these pollution and get enlightenment from the development of environmental protection in the future. Students will submit a project report at the end of the project and display their results.
