1、Late commencement
晚报到
To avoid any delays caused by visa processing, we encourage applicants to accept their offer and pay their deposit fees as quickly as possible. It's also important for applicants to respond to any email requests from the Department of Home Affairs promptly to avoid visa rejections.
Should applicants face delays with receiving their student visa, please be aware that all international students will be permitted to delay the commencement of their studies to Friday, 2 August 2024, provided they have completed their course enrolment and have arrived on campus ready to attend classes by this date.

The following programs are excluded and do not permit late commencement:
Master of Laws
Master of Business Administration
Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours)
Postgraduate psychology programs
Undergraduate and postgraduate nursing and midwifery programs
Bachelor of Nursing (students via advanced standing partners only permitted to commence in Semester 2)
Master of Business Psychology
Master of Occupational Therapy Studies (must attend compulsory classes in orientation week).

After this date, any international student seeking approval for late commencement will be required to submit their request via email .
Any students commencing their studies late will be responsible for contacting their Faculty to ensure that they enrol in the appropriate courses. The name of the appropriate Faculty can be found on the offer letter.

2、Guaranteed student accommodation

UQ ensures students commencing studies at our campuses can find safe and convenient accommodation that is approved by UQ.
As well as our on-campus residences, UQ partners with a select number of private, purpose-built accommodation providers. These off-campus providers have prioritised places for students commencing at UQ in 2024.

Eligibility 申请资格
To be eligible for this program, students must:
be commencing as a domestic or international student at UQ
be studying at either St Lucia, Gatton, Herston or Dutton Park campus
normally reside outside the Brisbane area
be over 18 years of age (if they are an international student).
If an international student is under 18 years of age, they'll need to apply through our Under 18 Supervision Program. Guaranteed accommodation isn't available for couples or families.

3、International student airport welcome and shuttle service

From Sunday 30 June to Sunday 21 July, our Welcome Crew will be available from 7am to 8pm daily to greet international students arriving at Brisbane International Airport.
Commencing international students can request an airport pickup with the UQ-provided complimentary airport shuttle service that will drop them off at their accommodation. Airport pickups will be offered between 7am and 8pm daily from Sunday 30 June to Sunday 21 July 2024.
Students should request airport pickup at least 3 days before the intended arrival date.
